Mel  qualified from Brighton University in 1993 and began working  in Southampton in 1996, specialising in lower limb injuries and rehabilitation and hydrotherapy. She completed the Bath hydrotherapy diploma in 1997 and then began work as an Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) in foot and ankle in 1999 and completed her MSc in sports injury and therapy in 2003 passing with distinction.

Mel is an outstanding clinician and has a real skill for engaging with people to fully understand both the condition and the person that she is treating.





Simon graduated from Southampton University in 2000 as student of the year and gained a post graduate training position in Portsmouth. Here he trained in all areas of podiatric medicine as part of a multi disciplinary team.

Simon specialised as a member of the biomechanics and musculoskeletal team, training with both specialist podiatrists and physiotherapists. He subsequently became an Extended Scope Podiatrist working in specialist orthopaedic Foot and Ankle clinics and also knee Clinics. This post had a key training and lecturing role and Simon teaches regularly to local podiatry and physiotherapy groups.

Simon is a skilled technician in the art of making bespoke orthotics (shoe inserts) to treat a wide range of foot problems and is a valued member of the team.
